Sweat On the Sidelines

Interview Series

Sweat™ is proud to introduce a new blog series to our followers, titled "Sweat On The Sidelines". We have tapped into our incredible network of hard working women in Sports Broadcasting, and are bringing you exclusive interviews to learn more about them and their journey. These women are crushing their TV gigs, embracing the Sweat™ lifestyle and, of course, rocking all the Sweat™ products as they do it.

For our first feature, who better to start us off than rockstar, Jenny Taft! A former college athlete possessing a broad knowledge of several sports! You can find her hosting Undisputed on Fox Sports, covering World Cups and on the sidelines for college football weekends. She is one of the best in the biz, and we are so thrilled that she loves Sweat™ Cosmetics.

"You're never going to regret working out."

Where are you from?

I grew up in Edina, Minnesota but I’ve been in Los Angeles for 6 years now and I can’t believe it! Time flies.

Where can we watch or find you on TV?

I host a daily show called Undisputed on FS1 and on the weekends you can find me roaming the football sidelines. Airports are my second home during football season!

How did you get into the TV industry?

I grew up playing sports (hockey and lacrosse were my favorites!) I ended up playing lacrosse at Boston University but the biggest reason I wanted to go to BU was because of the broadcast journalism program. I started as an intern at FOX Sports North and worked my way up while covering numerous different sports and events and I’m so happy to be working in this industry.

What is your proudest life moment?

I grew up going to a public French Immersion school back home, and never really knew if my French would come in hand later in life. I was fortunate enough to cover both the World Cup in Russia and France the last two summers, and was able to use my French for different interviews. I interviewed Kylian Mbappé in French following France’s World Cup win and it was so exhilarating. Interviewing athletes after incredible moments is one of my favorite aspects about the job, but adding another language to the equation is a whole different dynamic.

What is the biggest life lesson that playing sports has taught you?

Being a good teammate is everything. The lessons learned playing sports have helped me so much throughout my career. For example my college football crew is one big team. We all have different roles, but work together for the same goals. It’s a big family atmosphere.

What's your favorite workout?

I really enjoy Pilates, running and hot yoga. Nothing like a good sweat ;)

What does your "Daily Sweat" mean to you?

Working out daily is my goal always. Sometimes travel gets in the way, but for me it’s a mindset and a reset whenever I am able to take that time for myself I never regret it.

Why do you think it's important to make time for your "Daily Sweat"?

You’re never going to regret working out. You will always feel better after you do it.

What is your go-to post workout snack or meal?

Apples and peanut butter. Can’t go wrong!

What is your favorite Sweat product and why?

I love the Foundation Twist Brush with SPF. I’m always in the sun for work (whether I’m in hot or cold weather!) and I love how easy it is to apply while on the go. The towelettes are also perfect for me to use at the airport and while traveling.

What is the best advice you would give your 20 year-old self?

Work hard, be kind, and keep going. It’s all going to work out! But enjoy the process because that’s part of the fun.

What exciting moments are coming up for you?

In two weeks I’m really looking forward to covering the biggest game in college football “The Game” between Ohio St and Michigan. I will also be in Miami for the Super Bowl this year. An exciting couple months coming up!
